Oftentimes, personal financial ruin is not just an indirect outcome for the victim of a cancel culture campaign, but a deliberate goal. This pain is not a bug, but a feature, and it’s difficult to know what to do. To make matters worse, certain Big Tech companies often join the pile-on by deplatforming those looking to raise resources online.
The Themis Alliance seeks to help by providing legal defense funds to support those we choose to champion.
Narratives can form quickly and bear no resemblance to the facts. All too often, hostile media outlets will pick and choose what to report, and Big Tech companies put their fingers on the scale by artificially boosting or blatantly censoring certain information likely to sway public opinion one way or the other. It’s a recipe for propaganda, not impartiality.
Getting the other side of the story into the news cycle and public sphere can be extremely difficult, and we work to solve this through media booking, story placement, and our relationship with a wide range of independent journalists and opinion leaders.
